FINE Podiatry Clinic in Downtown Core Central Region is looking for a dedicated Clinic Assistant / Podiatry Assistant to join our team. This full-time role supports podiatrists and helps ensure high-quality patient care and smooth clinic operations.

You will handle front-d desk tasks, appointment scheduling, record-keeping, and basic clinical support in a busy podiatry setting, with opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Healthcare or medical administration experience desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and professional interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Strong organisation and time management with multitasking ability.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Clinic Assistant / Podiatry Assistant to join the team at FINE Podiatry Clinic. This is a full-time position based in our clinic located in the Downtown Core Central Region. In this role, you will be the backbone of our clinic operations, ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and that our clinical environment runs smoothly and efficiently. You will support our podiatrists and contribute directly to the quality of patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting patients upon arrival and managing patient check-in procedures, including verification of personal details and insurance information
• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments, ensuring optimal clinic flow and minimal waiting times
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with medical data protection regulations
• Assisting podiatrists during clinical procedures by preparing treatment areas, sterilising instruments and managing equipment
• Managing patient inquiries regarding treatments, costs and appointment availability
• Processing patient payments and maintaining accurate financial records
• Maintaining clinic cleanliness and hygiene standards, including restocking supplies and ensuring a welcoming environment
• Supporting ordering and managing clinic supplies and inventory levels
• Supporting administrative tasks such as filing and preparing documentation
• Acting as a professional and compassionate point of contact, ensuring patient satisfaction and comfort throughout their visit

What we're looking for

• Entry level, with strong numeracy and literacy skills (minimally in English)
• Proven experience working in a healthcare or medical administration environment, ideally within a clinic or hospital setting is highly desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare professionals and colleagues
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and administrative tasks
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with a genuine commitment to providing excellent service
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Previous experience in podiatry or foot health is highly desirable but not essential
• Basic understanding of infection control and hygiene standards
