Job summary

FINE Podiatry Clinic in Downtown Core Central Region is looking for a dedicated Clinic Assistant / Podiatry Assistant to join our team. This full-time role supports podiatrists and helps ensure high-quality patient care and smooth clinic operations.

You will handle front-d desk tasks, appointment scheduling, record-keeping, and basic clinical support in a busy podiatry setting, with opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Healthcare or medical administration experience desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and professional interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Strong organisation and time management with multitasking ability.
• Attention to detail in record-keeping and admin tasks.
• Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care with service mindset.
• Flexibility in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Experience in podiatry or foot health is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in procedures, verifying personal and insurance details.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments to optimise clinic flow.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in line with data protection regulations.
• Assist podiatrists during procedures by preparing treatment areas and sterilising instruments.
• Handle patient inquiries about treatments, costs and availability.
• Process patient payments and maintain precise financial records.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and hygiene, restocking supplies.
• Assist with ordering and managing clinic supplies and inventory.
• Support administrative tasks like filing and documentation preparation.
• Act as a compassionate contact to ensure patient satisfaction and comfort.
