Job summary

Parkway Labs is seeking a Client Service Assistant to support healthcare services across our hospital network. You will handle patient registration, inquiries, and payments, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

You will assist with data entry in the LIS, manage specimen reception, and respond to doctor and staff inquiries. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential across four hospitals.

This role requires office hours 5.5 days and a proactive, patient‑facing attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient registration in outpatient lab, responds to patient and client inquiries, and manages payment collection.
• Receives and visually checks specimens and sorts priority for testing.
• Data Order Entry: registers specimens, verifies patient details, tests orders, LIS entry, and labeling.
• Send-Out: manages specimen transport and records results into LIS.
• Call Agent: handles inquiries from doctors, clinic staff, and nurses via phone or CRM.
• Participates in CME and professional development activities.
• Engages in company communications and events, including meetings and town halls.
• Complies with safety regulations in the laboratory and reports non-compliance.
• Any other duties as assigned by a section lead or manager.

The Role

Join Parkway Labs as a Client Service Assistant and be part of a dedicated team supporting healthcare services across our network.

Key accountabilities

• Performs patient registration in outpatient lab, responds to patient and client inquiries, and manages payment collection (applicable to staff deployed in facility with outpatient service).
• Receives and visually checks specimens (blood, urine, stool, tissues and other body fluids) for identification and suitability, sorts priority and distributes to designated workstations.
• Data Order Entry - Registers specimens by verifying patient details, test orders, and specimen types; Enters data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS); and label the specimens for testing.
• Send-Out - Manage specimens for transport to internal or external laboratories and packs as per SOP. Collates, enters, and scans send-out tests results into the LIS prior to distribution.
• Call Agent – Handles inquiries from doctors, clinic staff and nurses via phone call or CRM tickets, and provide information on laboratory tests, procedures, orders, results and supplies.
• Participates in internal or external continuing medical education (CME) and other professional development programs.
• Actively participates in company‑approved communication platforms and events, including communication boards, roll calls or meetings, official group chats, company email, laboratory bonding activities, CEO townhalls, and other events.
• Complies and maintains all applicable safety regulations in the laboratory and reports non‑compliance to laboratory safety officers for corrective action.
• Any other duties as assigned by a section lead or manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office
• Possess good working attitude and behavior, with ability to work effectively with others or group.
• Patient/ customer service orientated.
• Able to work office hrs 5.5days (Sat half day)
