Job summary

Thought Machine in Singapore is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with client engineering teams and deliver production-ready Vault integrations and enhancements. You will work across backend development, systems integration and consulting, traveling up to 25% to client sites to ensure successful outcomes.

FDEs partner with client delivery teams, translate requirements into actionable plans, and drive technical delivery from design to production in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering proficiency in Python or Go with ability to iterate from ambiguous requirements.
• Systems & infrastructure literacy with Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, databases (PostgreSQL), and messaging (Kafka).
• Cloud experience with at least one provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience delivering technical projects end-to-end and working with external clients.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client engineering teams on-site and remotely to deliver working implementations of Vault products.
• Own the technical success of assigned client engagements and ensure practical outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans with client architects and engineers.
• Act as technical point of contact for the client, building trust through delivery.
