Job summary

Ley Choon Group Holdings Ltd invites applications for a Class 4 Driver responsible for operating prime movers, crane lorries and self-loader trucks to transport machinery and materials around construction sites in Singapore.

The role requires a valid Class 4 licence, 1–2 years of experience, and strong safety awareness. Works include loading/unloading, pre-trip inspections, and adherence to site safety rules. 5.5-day week, onsite location.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure loads are properly balanced and secured before moving off.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.

Job Description

• Safely operate prime movers with trailers, crane lorries and self-loader trucks to transport machinery, equipment, steel and construction materials to designated destinations.
• Operate lorry cranes and self-loader equipment safely for loading and unloading, where applicable, in coordination with the rigger and signalman.
• Ensure all loads are properly positioned, balanced and secured using appropriate lashing equipment, chains or straps before moving off.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, trailer, crane and loading equipment, where applicable, to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
• Strictly comply with company safety procedures, site safety requirements, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, and applicable traffic laws and regulations.
• Drive defensively and responsibly at all times, taking appropriate precautions to protect pedestrians, other road users, site personnel, vehicles and transported materials.
• Immediately report any vehicle or equipment defects, unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses or incidents to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle and equipment, both internally and externally.
• Ensure the vehicle and equipment are parked safely at designated locations and returned to the company premises as required.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or HOD.

Qualifications

• Valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence with a good driving record.
• At least 1-2 years of proven relevant driving experience in Singapore, operating prime movers, crane lorries and/or self-loader trucks.
• Experience in the construction or related industry, particularly in transporting machinery, equipment, steel and construction materials, will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Singapore roads, traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
• Familiar with construction site safety requirements and safe loading/unloading practices.
• Able to carry out basic vehicle checks and identify and report potential vehicle safety issues.
• Prior experience in logistics, construction or delivery operations will be an advantage.
• Strong safety awareness, responsible work attitude and commitment to safe driving are essential.

Other Information

• Work Schedule: 5.5 days work week
• Work Location / Vehicle Return: Company premises at No. 3 Sungei Kadut Drive, Singapore 729556 (North area)
