Job summary

XIN FENG ENGINEERING & TRADING (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a responsible truck driver to operate Prime Movers and trailers, delivering loose rebars and steel structures to job sites island-wide in a safety-conscious manner.

The role requires a valid Class 4 licence, a clean driving record, and 1–2 years of experience with heavy vehicles. Candidates must comply with MOM and LTA regulations, perform PPE use, and ensure accurate delivery documentation.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with a good safety track record.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience driving Prime Movers / heavy vehicles in Singapore.
• Experience transporting loose rebar or heavy build materials is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate Prime Movers with trailers to transport loose rebar and steel structures island-wide.
• Inspect cargo loading, lashing, and strapping to ensure secure fastening before moving off.
• Adhere to site rules and safety regulations set by MOM and main contractors.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report faults to the fleet manager.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Cargo Transportation:

• Drive and operate a Prime Mover with trailers to transport loose rebar (steel reinforcement bars) and steel structures safely from the factory to designated job sites island-wide.
• Execute proper coupling and uncoupling of trailers at factory yards and site locations.

Cargo Security & Safety:

• Inspect cargo loading, lashing, and strapping to ensure loose rebars are securely fastened before moving off.
• Ensure gross vehicle weight and axle limits comply with Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) safety limits and regulations (no overloading or improper weight distribution).

Delivery & Site Compliance:

• Adhere strictly to site rules and workplace safety regulations set by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and main contractors upon entering construction sites.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety helmet, high-visibility vest, safety boots).
• Handle Delivery Orders (DO), obtain proper signatures/stamps from site supervisors, and return completed documentation to the logistics department promptly.

Vehicle Maintenance & Upkeep:

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks (tires, brakes, lights, hydraulic lines, oil/water levels) to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain clean vehicle condition and report any mechanical faults or repair needs to the fleet manager immediately.

Requirements

Licence & Certifications:

• Valid Singapore Class 4 Driving Licence .
• Clean driving record with a good safety track record.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience driving Prime Movers / heavy combination vehicles in Singapore.
• Prior experience transporting loose rebar, steel structures, or heavy build materials will be an added advantage.

Skills & Attributes:

• Familiarity with Singapore roads, industrial estates, and major construction site access routes.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and road safety.
• Able to perform basic physical checks and cargo lashing inspections.
