Howden is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to lead the Claims team in Singapore, overseeing portfolio performance and driving timely, accurate processing of general insurance claims.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in handling General Insurance Claims, strong analytical skills, and the ability to mentor a team while collaborating with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in handling General Insurance Claims.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex claims scenarios.
• Experience in forensic accounting and claim preparation for property and business interruption claims is highly desirable.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong customer service orientation and commitment to delivering exceptional client experience.
• Good interpersonal skills – able to communicate well across organisational levels.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of general insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• To be able to assist in the directing and overseeing of daily operations of the claims team to meet operation & service requirements.
• To advocate for best claim outcome by providing coverage and strategy guidance to clients on complex and major claims.
• Provide mentoring and support to team members, sharing your experience and expertise.
• Collaborate with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders for claim resolutions
• Maintain accurate claims record and documentation as well as adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of claims management strategies
• Undertake any project or duties as assigned by management.
