Job summary

LCH Insurance Brokers is seeking a diligent Marine Claims Handler in Singapore. You will manage and process marine insurance claims (Hull & Machinery, Crew, and P&I) for clients, coordinating with surveyors, underwriters, and clients to ensure timely, fair settlements.

The role requires a diploma or professional insurance qualifications, strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Job responsibilities

1. Management and processing of insurance claims for Marine insurances (including Hull & Machinery, Crew, and Protection & Indemnity classes) on behalf of clients, including: Recording and monitoring of claims notifications from clients, Assisting in the appointment of surveyors for damage survey, Coordination of communications between clients and insurers (including their respective correspondents such as surveyors and claims adjusters), Vetting of bills submitted by clients before surveyors'/underwriters' review, Negotiation with underwriters to ensure fair and appropriate claim payment made to clients, Providing advice to clients regarding claims issues and status, Facilitating claims settlements between underwriters and clients, Collation of documents and information relating to claims as received from various parties, Compiling claims statistics and loss records

1. Working together with colleagues from the account handling and administrative departments to co-ordinate the service provided to the client, including: Provision of claims and loss data as required by account handlers for the purposes of insurance placement and client/underwriter relationship management, working together with administrative team to issue necessary payment requests and advice to and from clients and underwriters

Job Requirements

1. Candidates should preferably possess a diploma in any discipline and/or professional insurance qualifications
