Job summary

Allied World Assurance Company Ltd seeks a claims professional to handle, process and monitor allocated claims for Healthcare (Medical malpractice) Casualty and Professional Indemnity across APAC. Responsibilities include registering, reviewing, reserving, paying claims, and coordinating with counsel for litigation strategy.

The role requires CGI certification or progress toward it, a law degree preferred, and strong negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills to deliver excellent customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law preferred.
• CGI certification from the Singapore College of Insurance is a minimum requirement; if not held, complete examinations and achieve CGI within probation.
• Plan, prioritize and organize workload effectively.
• Excellent negotiation and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service orientation.
• Clear and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register, review, reserve and pay claims reported by brokers and cedants.
• Investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned claims including non-standard within personal authority.
• Conduct pro-active settlement through negotiation; coordinate with counsel on litigation strategy.
• Manage interactions with customers/intermediaries to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Identify non-standard or complex claims and elevate to supervisor; support less experienced colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements.
