Job summary

Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner (S.E. Asia) Pte Ltd is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to support the Job Manager on site in Singapore. You will supervise on-site activities, review drawings for discrepancies, and ensure safety and adherence to specifications.

Typical healthcare project exposure is a plus. The role requires an ITE certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering and a valid RTO Practising Certificate, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• ITE certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) with a valid RTO Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Healthcare project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Job Manager.
• Provide standing supervision as directed by the Consultant team.
• Check drawings for discrepancies prior to installation.
• Ensure works carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Ensure adequate safety precautions on site.
• Resolve site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
• Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain site records.

Project Overview

• Assist Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Job Manager.


• Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Consultant team.


• Check through construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.


• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings and specifications.


• Ensure adequate safety precautions are enforced on site.


• Resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.


• Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.


• Maintain site records.

Estimated commencement of work in end September 2026.

Job Requirements

• ITE certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.


• Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) with valid RTO Practising Certificate.


• Minimum 5 years’ working experience as a Resident Technical Officer.


• Preferably with experiences in healthcare projects.


• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.
