Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Civil/Design Engineer to oversee civil engineering aspects of renewable energy and energy storage projects in Singapore. You will collaborate with Civil & Structural consultants to ensure designs meet project requirements while coordinating with clients and authorities.

The role involves site visits, preparation of drawings and reports, adherence to BCA and SCDF safety standards, and travel to project sites across Asia as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in civil/structural design or a consultancy within construction/engineering, preferably renewable energy.
• Familiarity with local regulations (BCA, SCDF) and safety requirements.
• Diploma: Specialist Diploma in Construction Productivity (SDCP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and civil engineering software/tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
• Willingness to travel overseas for training or project requirements.

• Up till $6500 basic + variable bonus
• Working Days/Timings: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm

Responsibilities:

Liaison with Consultants:

Collaborate with Civil & Structural (C&S) consultants to develop structural schemes and perform engineering analyses, ensuring that designs meet project requirements and industry standards, while contributing to the timely completion of projects.

Civil Design Work:

Participate in the design and development of civil engineering aspects for the renewable energy and energy storage projects, such as infrastructure, drainage, site preparation, and earthworks.

Project Oversight:

Oversee the design and implementation of civil engineering elements of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, BCA regulations, and SCDF safety requirements.

Coordination and Communication:

Act as a key point of contact for clients, internal teams, and relevant authorities, coordinating between multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Project Meetings & Site Coordination:

Attend and contribute to project meetings and site visits, providing technical input and identifying solutions to engineering challenges, ensuring work is completed as planned and to a high standard of quality.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure that construction processes, site activities, and safety protocols align with local regulations and company standards, promoting a culture of safety across all stages of project development.

Technical Documentation:

Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in civil/structural design or a consultancy company within the construction or engineering sector, with preference for experience in renewable energy or related projects.
