Nest Preschool Hillview in Singapore seeks a Kitchen/Center Support role to plan and prepare meals for children, ensuring hygienic and safe service in a welcoming environment.

The position requires WSQ Basic Food Hygiene certification and preference for experience in childcare or hospitality, with strong organization and cleanliness. You will support daily operations and assist with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Certification: WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
• Experience in childcare centres or hospitality (e.g. hotel/restaurant kitchens) preferred
• Skills: Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety; ability to cook for large groups; high hygiene standards

Responsabilités

• Plan and prepare meals, snacks, and beverages for children per guidelines
• Serve meals in a clean, safe, inviting environment
• Maintain high hygiene standards during preparation, handling and serving
• Ensure meals meet portion and quantity needs, with extra servings if required
• Keep kitchen tidy with daily/weekly/monthly maintenance checks
• Manage grocery and kitchen equipment purchases with Head of School approval
• Assist in cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas for children and staff
• Support center operations by assisting with other duties as required by campus leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy meals, snacks, and beverages for children in line with HMCCP guidelines
• Ensure food is served in a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
• Maintain high hygiene standards during food preparation, handling, and serving.
• Ensure meals are sufficient in quantity, with portions available for additional servings if needed.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized by following a daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklist.
• Manage grocery and kitchen equipment purchases with the approval of the Head of School.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas of the school, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for children and staff.
• Support the smooth operation of the centre by assisting with other duties as required by campus leadership.

Requirements

• Certification: WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
• Experience: Prior experience in childcare centres or hospitality (e.g. hotel/restaurant kitchens) is highly preferred
• Skills:

1. Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety
2. Ability to cook efficiently for large groups
3. Strong sense of cleanliness, responsibility, and organization
4. Language Proficiency: Able to communicate in English
