Job summary

Cosmic Education Group Limited is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children at our Hillview campus in Singapore. You will maintain high hygiene standards, manage groceries and kitchen equipment, and support daily school operations while following HMCCP guidelines.

The role requires WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certification and prior experience in childcare or hospitality. Strong organization and cleanliness are essential to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for

Qualifications

• Certification: WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Experience in childcare centres or hospitality (e.g. hotel/restaurant kitchens) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy meals, snacks and beverages for children in line with HMCCP guidelines.
• Ensure food is served in a clean, safe and inviting environment.
• Maintain high hygiene standards during preparation, handling and serving.
• Ensure meals are sufficient with portions for extra servings if needed.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized using daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
• Manage grocery and kitchen equipment purchases with approval from Head of School.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas of the school.
• Support smooth centre operations by assisting with other duties as required by campus leadership.

Job description

Ensure food is served in a clean, safe, and inviting environment.

Maintain high hygiene standards during food preparation, handling, and serving.

Ensure meals are sufficient in quantity, with portions available for additional servings if needed.

Keep the kitchen clean and organized by following a daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklist.

Manage grocery and kitchen equipment purchases with the approval of the Head of School.

Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas of the school, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for children and staff. ( e.g. classrooms, corridors..etc)

Support the smooth operation of the centre by assisting with other duties as required by campus leadership.

Requirements:

• Certification: WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
• Experience: Prior experience in childcare centres or hospitality (e.g. hotel/restaurant kitchens) is highly preferred

Language Proficiency: Able to communicate in English
