Job summary

foodpanda, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is seeking a Chief of Staff to the COO. The role will be central to the company’s performance management and to designing and implementing key strategic decisions across Commercial, Service Operations, Logistics, Partnerships and Product Deployment.

You will work with senior management daily, act as a bridge between leadership and teams, drive prioritisation, and ensure execution speed to keep the engine running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in similarly rigorous strategy roles.
• Experience building governance structures and driving performance improvement across functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous environments.
• High emotional intelligence and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, structure execution plans, and drive follow-up.
• Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed, or global organizations.

Responsibilities

• Build and run governance processes that improve cross-functional effectiveness, including the overall set up for optimal collaboration & culture, performance tracking, ownership structures, and systematic impact & follow through of key decisions throughout the organization
• Drive performance management practices across teams and regions, ensuring clarity on accountability, root causes, and action plans
• Partner with senior leadership to align strategic priorities across global, regional, and local teams
• Provide analytical support and structured insights on key business decisions
• Facilitate strategic planning and business reviews, including offsites, goal-setting, and executive communication
• Over time, lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and transformation projects as governance foundations mature
• Act as a trusted advisor and team enabler—success is defined by how well the organization executes, not by personal visibility
