Job summary

RN Care Pte. Ltd. is recruiting a senior finance leader to take ownership of the finance function and lead the CFO transition for a Singapore-based automotive retailer preparing for an RTO.

The role focuses on cash flow management, treasury, taxation, financial reporting, and board-facing governance, with direct responsibility for SGX-related reporting, audits, and internal controls, while guiding the finance team through a high-growth, listed-environment transition.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential; candidates without a professional qualification should demonstrate strong technical accounting expertise and substantial senior finance leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the finance function and CFO transition, ensuring strong control over cash flow, treasury, payments, payroll, taxation, banking, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing.
• Lead the internal finance workstream for the proposed RTO, coordinating closely with sponsors, advisers, auditors, legal counsel, tax specialists, and other professional parties. Oversee the preparation and validation of financial information, forecasts, due diligence materials, transaction documentation, and Board reporting.
• Strengthen finance processes, internal controls, reporting frameworks, risk management, and governance practices to support the requirements of a listed company. Ensure readiness for financial reporting, audit, regulatory submissions, and ongoing Board and Audit Committee requirements.
• Oversee liquidity, working capital, funding facilities, banking relationships, and capital allocation. Support fundraising and financing initiatives while monitoring cash flow, covenant, inventory, receivables, and other key financial risks.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team on business planning, strategic decisions, performance management, and investment initiatives. Provide commercial insights across vehicle economics, margins, incentives, inventory, funding costs, and return on capital.
• Lead, develop, and strengthen the finance team by establishing clear responsibilities, robust processes, and appropriate succession depth. Communicate financial and transaction matters effectively to the CEO, Board, shareholders, advisers, lenders, and internal stakeholders.

About the Company

Our client is a rapidly expanding automotive retail business in Singapore, operating within a high-volume environment with significant inventory and working capital requirements. As the business enters its next stage of growth and institutional development, it is preparing for a proposed reverse takeover (RTO), subject to the necessary approvals and successful completion of the transaction.

Experience with an RTO or IPO would be advantageous, although it is not a prerequisite. Candidates with proven senior finance leadership experience in a listed-company environment, coupled with strong corporate governance and financial management expertise, will be highly valued.

Requirements

• CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred but not essential. Candidates without a professional qualification should demonstrate strong technical accounting expertise and substantial senior finance leadership experience within a listed company.
• Approximately 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant leadership responsibility for a finance function within a complex, operationally intensive business.
• Proven senior finance leadership experience within an SGX-listed company, with direct responsibility for financial reporting, annual reports, external audit, Board and Audit Committee support, regulatory or sponsor deadlines, and internal controls. Experience in a Catalist, small-cap, or newly listed environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong technical knowledge of SFRS(I), group consolidation, audit, taxation, treasury and cash-flow management, SGX reporting and announcements, corporate governance, internal controls, and Board-level financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience managing finance in an inventory- and working-capital-intensive business, with hands-on ownership of the finance function rather than solely providing external advisory or professional services.
• Immediate or availability on short is strongly preferred.
