Job summary

BYD by 1826 is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer in Singapore to lead the finance function, support growth and strengthen the Group’s listed-company readiness. You will oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, tax, audit, treasury, and controls while driving strategic finance initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of progressive finance experience, direct listed-company exposure, and familiarity with SFRS(I) reporting, consolidation and tax.

Qualifications

• Approximately 12 or more years of progressive finance experience, including senior finance leadership.
• Direct senior finance experience within a listed company is required.
• Hands-on experience with listed-company reporting, annual reports, financial announcements, audit, internal controls and Board/Audit Committee support.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audit, treasury, cash flow and internal controls.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing, management reporting, forecasting and statutory reporting.

Chief Financial Officer

BYD by 1826 is a fast-growing automotive retail business in Singapore. We are seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function, support continued business growth and strengthen the Group’s listed-company readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audit, treasury, cash flow and internal controls.


• Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing, management reporting, forecasting and statutory reporting.


• Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to the CEO, Board and shareholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Approximately 12 or more years of progressive finance experience, including senior finance leadership.


• Direct senior finance experience within a listed company is required.


• SGX-listed, Catalist, small-cap or newly listed company experience is strongly preferred.


• Hands-on experience with listed-company reporting, annual reports, financial announcements, audit, internal controls and Board/Audit Committee support.


• Strong knowledge of SFRS(I), group consolidation, taxation, treasury and cash-flow management.


• A recognised professional accounting qualification such as CA Singapore, CPA or ACCA is preferred but not mandatory.


• Candidates without a professional accounting qualification must demonstrate substantial listed-company finance leadership and strong technical accounting competence.


• Prior RTO, IPO or major capital-markets transaction experience is advantageous but not required.


• Experience in automotive, retail, distribution or another inventory- and working-capital-intensive business would be advantageous.


• Commercial, hands-on, organised and comfortable working in a fast-moving business.
