Job summary

DenseLight Semiconductors Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Equipment Engineer to lead installation, maintenance and upgrades of MOCVD equipment, drive reliability, and mentor a technical team across the fab.

You will analyze malfunctions, develop corrective actions, implement preventive maintenance, document procedures, and ensure ISO compliance while collaborating with management to define specifications for next‑generation equipment and cost‑reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• More than 15 years of experience in installation and maintenance of MOCVD equipment.
• Able to train new staff.
• Experienced equipment engineer or field service professional who thrives in a matrix organization.
• Proven skills in problem solving, troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of equipment KPIs (availability, MTTR, MTBF).
• Evaluate skill levels, develop training materials, coach team for performance gains.
• Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of MOCVD equipment.
• Document maintenance procedures and processes.
• Ensure ISO compliance and support audits.
• Perform equipment upgrades per Fab requirements.
• Analyze malfunctions and develop corrective actions.
• Develop improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce failures.
• Monitor performance and suggest improvements.
• Work with management to develop equipment specifications for next-gen products.
• Collaborate with Specialists to design/develop new equipment (MOCVD).
• Maintain documentation for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide support for troubleshooting (MOCVD).
• Test and approve new equipment before handing off to production.
• Develop cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity.

Job Objectives

To be able to evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment.

Job Description & Requirements

• Drive continuous improvement of equipment key performance indicators such as % availability, mean time to repair (MTTR) and mean time between failure (MTBF).
• Evaluate skill levels of Engineers, technicians, develop training materials, coach and train team members for improving team and equipment performance.
• Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of company equipment (MOCVD)
• Document maintenance procedures and processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and support audit functions.
• Perform equipment (MOCVD) upgrades as per Fab requirements.
• Analyze equipment (MOCVD) malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions.
• Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment failures.
• Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Work with management to develop equipment specifications for next generation products.
• Work with Specialists to design and develop new equipment (MOCVD)
• Maintain documentations for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
• Provide support for troubleshooting equipment (MOCVD)
• Test and approve new equipment (MOCVD) before handing off to production.
• Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.
• Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees as needed.
• Act as primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns.

Requirements

• More than 15 years' experience in installation and maintenance of MOCVD equipment
• Able to train new staff
• Experienced equipment engineer or field service engineering professional who is highly effective working in a team-oriented matrix organization.
• Must have proven skills effective problem solving, troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis.
