Job description

We are seeking an outstanding APAC Chief Commercial Officer to define and implement the commercial growth strategy for the region. The APAC CCO is responsible for developing and delivering the revenue growth plans for the region, aligning client strategy, sales execution, and commercial rigor to drive scalable, differentiated growth, while consistently modelling a “one-firm” attitude.

What The Day Will Look Like

This role will drive the growth of core businesses in the geography by accelerating cross-solution line alliances and leading named growth strategies in partnership with regional, sub-regional, and country leadership teams.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
  • Define the regional growth plan including expansion of key business areas, cross-solution line white space, and named strategies to address market opportunities and unmet client needs. Work with sub region and solution line leadership to ensure effective sales execution.
  • Accountable for the APAC sales pipeline and RFP strategy, coordinating pipeline quality, prioritisation, win rates, and major pursuits – including the adoption and roll out of the Aon Bid Engine.
  • Own and monitor the APAC commercial targets, ensuring focused execution that delivers sustainable, profitable revenue growth – including ‘Power of 4’.
  • Own the sales incentive plans across APAC and drive reviews to keep these contemporary and market leading.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end sales process with a number of major prospects – leading by example with the buyer change blueprint. Serve as Executive Sponsor on large clients and prospects
  • Lead and run Aon Client Leadership in APAC including stretch revenue targets and coordinating the go to market plan to drive outsized growth - leaning into the Enterprise Client Group to scale from ECG to ACL.
  • Leverage and champion Aon’s investment in Data & Analytics, to develop innovative and winning client‑centric solutions.
  • Lead new business pricing principles via the Pricing Council. Serve as the APEC Exec Sponsor of the “Return to Profitability” process.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to identify and assess market opportunities and deliver all pipeline insight for MMRs, QBRs, etc. Ensure sub-regional and country commercial teams have what they need to succeed.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop and align on regional and global thematic client needs. Driving a marketing strategy that is prioritized to revenue‑generating opportunities including sponsorship of the Aon Insights Series and PARIMA.
Knowledge and Attributes
  • Significant senior commercial leadership experience within financial services, professional services, or related markets, ideally across multiple APAC geographies.
  • Strong understanding of the APAC region in terms of business environment, macroeconomic factors, market forces and business drivers and translate these into commercial opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of risk and human capital, with a track record of leading complex client relationships and growth initiatives.
  • Validated ability to design and implement growth strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth at scale.
  • Strong financial competence, including experience in planning, budgeting, pricing, and performance management.
  • Hardworking, creative problem solver who is bold about delivering the best of the firm to clients; able to unite diverse partners behind a common growth agenda.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the presence to engage effectively at C‑suite level internally and with clients.

Regulatory Requirements
  • Holds, or can obtain, all regulatory licences, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local and regional legislation.
Reporting Lines
  • The APAC CCO will be directly accountable to the APAC CEO, with a helix to the Global CCO.
  • The sub-region CCOs helix to the sub-region CEO and the APAC CCO.
  • The Bid Management Asia Leader reports directly to the APAC CCO.
  • The Sales Enablement Leader APAC helixes to the Global Sales Enablement Leader and the APAC CCO.
  • The APAC CCO will be expected to fully participate on the Global Growth Committee, representing the needs and interests of APAC.
