Aon Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an investment advisory professional to deliver governance advice, asset allocation, and manager selection for diverse clients in Singapore and beyond.

You will manage client relationships, coordinate with internal teams, and participate in client meetings to drive delivery quality and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering investment advisory services or working in fund management.
  • Experience in finance/professional services in and/or outside Singapore or in multi-country teams.
  • Excellent written and communication skills; ability to work across cultures.

What the day will look like
  • Delivery of investment advisory work including, but not limited to, regular performance monitoring, investment governance advice, Strategic Asset Allocation, and manager selection
  • Client relationship management and internal coordination, including client service management to coordinate client deliverables and ensure timely and quality delivery
  • Attendance at client meetings and calls for delivery and business development purposes;
  • Partner with colleagues to understand new market developments and how to recognize these issues in the client situation;
  • Analyze and interpret client and market data, translating data into insights and delivering high quality to clients;
  • Uses technical investment knowledge and experience to be able to proactively collaborate with colleagues to advise clients on their investment needs
  • Acts as a team member for bigger projects providing support to other consultants, working under limited supervision with verbal guidance.
  • Takes responsibility for and is likely to deliver projects, working off own initiative with some senior support.
  • Supports internal initiatives and solution development
  • Ensures quality by reviewing work critically and applying technical expertise and efficiently manages deadlines.
  • Work closely with clients and colleagues to build long-term relationships, existing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction.

Potential involvement in retirement consulting work including:

  • Delivery of global and local retirement solutions (e.g. global / local retirement / benefit reviews / implementation, ongoing benefit management support, pension committee reporting, presentations and meetings),
  • Co-ordination of retirement and benefit issues related to international mobile employees/benefit programs, M&A and other business integrations/ separations;
  • Design, financing, and ongoing governance of statutory and voluntary retirement (DC and DB) and benefit plans around the world;
  • Conduct client specific market studies, benchmarking and/or analysis of employee benefit programs
  • Delivery of financial wellbeing solutions and strategies;
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Bachelor’s degree inMathematics / Finance/ Economics/ Business, or a related field
  • Experience in investment advisory service delivery, or within the fund management industry
  • Experience working in the finance/professional services industry in and/or outside of Singapore, or in a multi-country team can be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and communication skills and ability to work in a multi-country team having regard to cultural differences.
  • Holds/will acquire all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation.
  • Analytical capabilities, strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, confident, and comfortable seeking advice and guidance when needed.
  • Ideally hold professional qualifications (actuarial, CFA, or equivalent), or progressing with such qualifications
  • International retirement consulting experience (e.g M&A, internationally mobile employees, benefit audits, governance and strategy design and implementation, new plan implementation, plan settlement, cross-border pension financing) would be a plus.
