Job summary

SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION SINGAPORE BRANCH seeks a seasoned project/programme manager to lead AI initiatives end-to-end, from definition through post-implementation review. You will translate business requirements into delivery plans, coordinate with AID Tokyo and head office, and manage budgets, risks and approvals across multiple layers.

The role requires experience in AI governance, data transformation, and cross-functional collaboration with English and Japanese proficiency.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in consulting, technology or financial services.
• Experience leading AI or data transformation initiatives as project/programme manager.
• Business-level English and Japanese proficiency for stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned AI initiatives end-to-end - definition, structuring, implementation, go-live and review.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into structured workstreams and delivery plans with reporting.
• Coordinate daily with AID Tokyo, SMBC Head Office, JRI, IT and vendors across regions.
• Interface between business and technical teams; support APAC and global cross-functional activities.
• Ensure initiatives comply with AI governance, data management, compliance and risk frameworks.
