Oaks Coffee Co. is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You will manage your section, maintain quality and consistency, and support the team with opening/closing duties in a fast-paced café environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Chef de Partie / Demi Chef / experienced Kitchen Assistant preferred.
• Good understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Able to work independently while being a strong team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment.
• Good attention to detail and consistency.
• Responsible, punctual and organised.
• Passionate about food and willing to learn.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute dishes according to our recipes and standards
• Manage your assigned kitchen section during service
• Ensure food quality, presentation and consistency
• Complete mise en place and preparation before service
• Maintain proper food handling, hygiene and kitchen safety standards
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock take and ordering
• Minimise food wastage and maintain proper portion control
• Keep your station clean, organised and well-stocked throughout service
• Assist with receiving and storing ingredients
• Support the team with opening and closing duties
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Assist with menu preparation, testing and development when required
