Job summary

EATZ CATERING SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an enthusiastic Pastry & Dessert Specialist to join our culinary team. You will craft pastries, desserts, and related items, contributing to daily production and ensuring quality and consistency.

Responsibilities cover all pastry and dessert production areas, maintaining hygiene, managing portions, and collaborating with chefs to introduce new creations while controlling costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead production across pastry and dessert areas (including butchery, marination not applicable in pastry context).
• Produce pastries, desserts, snacks, and related items with quality and visual appeal.
• Maintain hygiene, proper storage, and wastage control (FEFO where applicable).
• Collaborate with culinary team to create new pastry concepts and innovations.
• Assist in other kitchen areas when required and support delivery handover.

Responsibilities:

• Lead production of the following areas:
• Meat Processing (including butchery and marination)
• Seafood Processing (including butchery and marination)
• Vegetable Processing (including all cutting and washing)
• Production for Paste/Sauce/Snack (including cooking, packing and storing)
• Cold Kitchen (salads, platters, canapes)
• Develop, Plan and Create New Pastries for Continuous Innovation.
• Always Ensuring Quality Control as Well as Visually Appealing End-Products.
• Keeping Check of All Supplies in Section (FEFO Compliant) and Ensuring Little/No Wastage.
• Responsible for Keeping Track of Finished Products and Handing Over to Colleagues for Deliveries.
• Responsible for Food Items Are Properly Stored at the End of the Shift.
• Responsible to Create Daily the Market List to Prepare Items to Be Purchased.
• Responsible for Proper Storage, Labelling and Use of All Food Supplies to Prevent Unnecessary Spoilage and to Maintain Cost Control.
• Assist in Keeping the Section/Premises Clean So as to Adhere to Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures.
• Collaborating With the Rest of the Culinary Team to Ensure High-Quality Products.
• Assisting in Other Areas of the Kitchen When Required.
• Performs Other Tasks or Projects as Assigned By Chef and Management.
