Job summary

MADRAS MESS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced cook to prepare authentic Indian dishes such as gravies, biryani, tandoori kebabs, naan/roti and dosas in a fast-paced kitchen in Singapore.

The role requires balancing regional flavors and spices while maintaining high kitchen hygiene and safety standards. The candidate should have at least 5 years of kitchen experience, with no formal qualifications required beyond primary education.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cooking or kitchen operations.
• No formal qualifications required but primary education is preferred.
• Able to work under pressure during busy hours and peak times.

Responsibilities

• Cook authentic Indian dishes including gravies, biryani, tandoori kebabs, naan/roti, and dosas.
• Balance traditional spice blends and uphold regional flavors.
• Manage stock inventory and other kitchen tasks.
• Maintain strict personal and kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and safety up to SFA requirements.
• Be available to work on public holidays and weekends; days off will be remunerated or compensated.
