Job summary

National University of Singapore, through the Duke-NUS Medical School Office of Research, seeks casual interviewers for a field study on consumer beverage choices. Roles include intercept recruitment, consent, data collection, and survey administration at Outram Campus (approx. 15 hours/week).

You will guide participants through tablet-based tasks, ensure privacy, and maintain data quality while following scripts and training procedures. Start date 28/08/2026, onboarding provided.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication and respectful public approach.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin or Malay an advantage.
• Able to commit about 15 hours per week for fieldwork.
• Comfortable using tablets and following study protocols.
• High attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Recruit participants at high-footfall venues using a standardized script.
• Explain the study clearly; answer participant questions without bias.
• Screen eligibility using tablet questionnaire and apply inclusion/exclusion criteria.
• Administer informed consent and ensure voluntariness, confidentiality, and withdrawal rights.
• Guide participants through tablet-based food choice/shopping task and surveys.
• Ensure data completeness and quality checks before ending each session.
