Job summary

UNIQUE HOME DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled carpenter to read blueprints, measure and cut wood, and assemble fixtures for furniture, cabinets, doors, and windows in Singapore-based projects.

You will collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely, on-budget completion while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and properly maintaining tools and equipment. Prior carpentry experience and accuracy are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for cutting and shaping wood.
• Capable of inspecting and replacing damaged structures and fixtures.
• Adheres to safety regulations and keeps the workspace clean.
• Collaborates with project managers and trades to meet deadlines and budgets.

Job description

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or instructions to build or repair various items, including furniture, cabinets, doors, and windows
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools
• Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradesmen to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure they are in good working order
• Perform other related duties as assigned
