Job summary

ABC BEST PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled carpenter to read blueprints, measure, cut, shape and install wood and fiberglass components for building frames, doors and stairs.

The role requires hands-on carpentry, precise material calculation, and the ability to lay out flooring, roofing or drywall with accuracy. The successful candidate will construct and install furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items, inspect workmanship, and participate in routine repairs and scaffolding setup

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
• Precise measurement and calculation of materials.
• Experience cutting and shaping lumber and fiberglass.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements
• Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures
