Job summary
SASCO SENIOR CITIZENS' HOME is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to provide compassionate elderly care in a sheltered home setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess and implement nursing care plans, identify signs of illness, and mentor HCAs in daily tasks. The role includes assisting with medications and managing common age-related conditions.
The position is based at Choa Chu Kang sheltered home with 44 hours per week, shift work, and a permanent role with benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCE N Level
- Training in WSQ Higher/Advanced Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or ITE ATC Healthcare (Home Care) program
- Experience in elderly setting is an advantage
- Compassion, critical thinking and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Comply with approved Nursing SOPs
- Work with multidisciplinary team to analyze and evaluate nursing care plan and ensure its implementation
- Identify symptoms of illness or decline and advocate early attention
- Mentor and guide HCAs in performing their functions
- Assist EN/RN in ensuring patients take medications
- Assist clients to manage age-related conditions such as incontinence and mobility issues
- Assist Enrolled Nurse/Registered Nurse as required
- Other duties as assigned by Centre Manager
