Job summary

JTE Recruit Pte Ltd represents a client in the marine industry offering a structured trainee programme for Bunker Cargo Officers in Singapore. Phase 1 covers a six-month onboard training period with experienced officers, on-the-job instruction, and external certification (SS 648:2024 & SS 600:2014).

Work is typically 3 days onboard and 3 days off, aligned to vessel schedules. Phase 2 spans months 7–24 with promotion on successful completion and increasing autonomy.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Maritime Studies or related field required.
• Two-year bond required.
• Prior maritime/marine knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1: Onboard six-month training with experienced officers.
• External training and certification SS 648:2024 & SS 600:2014.
• Work typically 3 days onboard / 3 days off, aligned to vessel schedules.
• Phase 2: Promotion to Junior Bunker Cargo Officer (Month 7–24) with increasing autonomy.
• Phase 3: Conversion to Bunker Cargo Officer after two years.

Job description

Our Client:

• 6 Days work week, Shift

• starting at $2,500 per month, allowance, and VB (upon completion will receive $4,500 per month)

Responsibilities:

Phase 1: Training Period (First 6 Months)

• On-the-job training under experienced Bunker Cargo Officers and Cargo Superintendent

• External training and certification (SS 648:2024 & SS 600:2014)

• Work schedule: Typically 3 days onboard / 3 days off, depending on vessel schedule

Phase 2: Junior Bunker Cargo Officer (Month 7–24)

• Promotion upon successful completion of training and certification

• Perform duties independently with minimal supervision

Phase 3: Bunker Cargo Officer (After 2 Years)

• Conversion to full-fledged Bunker Cargo Officer upon completion of program

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Maritime studies, Marine, Nautical, etc

• 2-year bond required
