Job Descriptions
- To monitor vessels' certificates, ensuring they are valid for trading.
- To carry out ISM/ISPS and shipboard audits.
- Upkeep of records and documents.
- Crew manning and safety & operation aspects of the vessel.
- Preparation of work orders and safety coordination of work.
- To perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and monitors the overall safety, security, nautical and commercial operation (including commercial effectiveness and voyage efficiency) of the assigned vessels.
- Monitor vessel movements and performances.
- The Marine Superintendent plays a key operational role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient QHSSE and marine operations of vessels under management.
- Provide technical, management and consultancy expertise and support to ensure vessels fully comply with Class / Flag State / Major Oil Company requirements.
- Plan, control, and execute all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, survey and dry-docking or modification as required.
- Manage the day-to-day technical operation and performance of vessels in conjunction with onboard management to ensure applicable standards are met.
- Ensure safe, cost-efficient and environmentally sound operation standards in compliance with internal policies (QHSSE) and international regulations.
- Conduct regular ship inspections to ensure compliance with local/international statutory requirements, safety procedures and PSC/SIRE programs where applicable.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Preferably Singaporean residents.
- Preferably Class 3 C.O.C. or Class 4 C.O.C (Deck Officer).
- Preferably with Oil Tanker, Bunker Barges experience.
- Advantage with Superior Certificates.
- Shore experience preferred; sailing background also welcome.
- Sailed as officer preferably on Tankers.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as technical Superintendent for oil tankers.
