Job summary

Deks Air (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Cargo Officer to manage cargo bookings, coordinate with ground handlers, supervise warehouse loading, and support cargo operations to ensure smooth airline cargo services.

Responsibilities include processing bookings, confirming space availability, updating AWB stock, and coordinating with GHA and internal departments. Candidates should have 2+ years in cargo operations and be willing to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level qualification.
• At least 2 years of cargo operations experience, preferably with a GSA or airline.
• Ability to work independently with strong responsibility and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by flight schedules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process cargo space booking requests via telephone and email from cargo agents.
• Confirm cargo space availability and communicate confirmations to cargo agents.
• Coordinate cargo operations with SATS Ground Handling Agent (GHA) and internal airline departments.
• Issue and maintain accurate records of Air Waybill (AWB) stock issued to cargo agents.
• Perform cargo reservation and operational duties according to shift roster, including Sundays and extended hours for flight release and AWB/flight data updates.
• Update Unit Load Device (ULD) stock records in SCM/UCM systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Supervise cargo warehouse loading activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Follow up with GSA airlines on Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) compliance and prepare monthly operational reports.
• Address and resolve freight operation issues and problems promptly.
• Provide sales support and customer service to cargo agents and stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
