Job summary

University Souvenir Shop at NUS Kent Ridge is seeking a friendly retail team member to deliver excellent customer service while supporting everyday store operations.

You will engage customers, recommend suitable products, handle cash transactions, process refunds and exchanges, and maintain clean, attractive displays to drive sales and a welcoming environment for students, staff, alumni, visitors and tourists.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and service-oriented personality.
• Good communication and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, proactive and professional service to all customers.
• Engage customers and recommend suitable products based on their needs.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Assist in achieving store sales targets.
• Promote ongoing promotions, new arrivals and featured products.
• Operate the POS system accurately, including sales transactions, refunds and exchanges.
• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming store environment.
• Replenish stocks and ensure products are properly displayed and merchandised.
• Maintain neat, attractive and appealing product displays in accordance with guidelines.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily store operations.
