Job summary

Five Oars Coffee Roasters PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a front-of-house team member to deliver warm, efficient service and hospitality at our cafés in Tanjong Pagar or Upper East Coast.

You will greet guests, recommend menu items, handle orders via POS, coordinate with the kitchen, and maintain a clean, welcoming space. Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in F&B or retail preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to a minimum of 3 days per week

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and deliver friendly, efficient service to enhance their café experience
• Provide accurate menu recommendations to assist customers in their choices
• Process customer orders accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to ensure smooth transactions
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and serving of all items
• Set and clear tables efficiently during meal periods to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
• Support the shift manager in planning and organizing special events to enhance customer engagement
• Communicate customer feedback promptly to the shift manager for continuous service improvement
• Adhere strictly to food and beverage safety and hygiene standards to maintain a safe environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager to support café operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in the F&B or retail industry to contribute practical knowledge
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player with a friendly and approachable attitude
• High initiative and a positive attitude to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work on weekends and public holidays to meet operational needs
