Job summary

Broadcom Central Engineering seeks a qualified engineer to develop and support CAD tool flows for advanced process nodes. You will be hands-on with design/layout issues, building utilities and providing timely solutions while collaborating with EDA vendors and PDK teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of CAD/verification experience, and will contribute to QA, documentation, and user training for design engineers.

## **Job Description:**## Job Description:Broadcom Central Engineering is looking for a qualified individual who can provide best-in-class development and support for CAD tool flows focused on advanced process nodes. ## Responsibilities:-This individual will be hands-on, heavily involved in day-to-day support of design/layout issues and develop, maintain, and support utilities to improve productivity.- Hands-on, daily support for design/layout issues. - Interact with EDA vendors, PDK development, and process technology teams to provide timely solutions. - Develop, maintain, and support utilities to improve productivity. - Create documentation and provide hands-on training for design engineers as needed. Prior experience in several of the following areas is required: - SKILL programming language to customize layout environments and develop productivity utilities. - Creation and maintenance of CAD PDK environments (tool installations, layout environment customization, etc.). - Exposure to EDA tools and flows for advanced chip design. - Exposure to Physical Verification flows (DRC, LVS). - Exposure to circuit simulation and tools. - Experience with QA flows, creation of QA test cases, and development of QA infrastructure. - Experience with AI tools for code generation. ## Requirements:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus 2+ years of experience. - Solid background in programming skills, layout, and physical verification challenges. - User-level familiarity with related CAD Tools (e.g., Calibre, Virtuoso Layout). - Experience in all phases of CAD tools, including evaluation, QA, testing, release, user support, and documentation. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail **Broadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
