Job summary

SMM PTE. LTD. seeks a Civil & Structural Resident Technical Officer to supervise construction sites, enforce quality standards, and ensure works meet specifications and drawings.

You will coordinate with project teams and regulators, maintaining safety and quality on site. Applicants should hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering, be registered ROT with BCA/IES/ACES, and have at least five years of site supervision experience, ideally on projects around Changi/Seletar Airport.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or similar.
• Registered as Resident Technical Officer with BCA/IES/ACES.
• At least 5 years of site supervision experience as ROT.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the construction and related works, maintaining quality control and ensuring works follow project specifications, drawings, and approved documents.
• Ensure contractors comply with Building Control Act, regulations, codes of practice, and government authority requirements.
• Experience in architectural finishing/building works.
• Past experience with projects located within Changi and Seletar Airport is advantageous.
• Work well in a team while capable of independent, multi-task execution.

Job Description

• a) Able to supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, approved sketches, product or system specifications, contractor’s method statements, installation and working procedures.
• b) Ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices and requirements of building authorities and government agencies
• c) Experience in architectural finishing/building works
• d) Past experience with projects located within Changi and Seletar Airport will be advantageous;
• e) Good team player with ability to work independently and multi-task

• a) Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing;
• b) Registered as Resident Technical Officer with BCA/IES/ ACES; and
• c) At least 5 years of site supervision experience as Resident Technical Officer.
