Job summary

Bombardier Aerospace Services Singapore Pte. Ltd is seeking a procurement professional to manage aircraft parts and materials. You will forecast part requirements, plan purchases, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely availability.

Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, purchasing within budget, managing POs in SAP, and ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA regulations. You will support aircraft on ground needs in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in aviation or material/parts environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Procurement and tendering experience.
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations for aircraft maintenance materials.
• Familiarity with incoterms and shipment terms.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with sales, owners and departments.
• Diploma or equivalent in Supply chain or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate suppliers to be selected and maintain the Approved Suppliers List (ASL).
• Purchase material within approved budget.
• Place all types of purchase orders and ensure conformance to requirements.
• Ensure parts are ordered from ASL suppliers and subcontracts meet MAE.
• Generate purchase orders in SAP.
• Arrange inbound/outbound shipments with forwarders and coordinate customs clearance.
• Monitor timely deliveries and inform the Material Manager of delays.
• Provide approved replacement parts and materials to support maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with production, planning, invoicing and finance for maintenance.
• Support Aircraft On Ground requirements to meet urgent needs.
• Review purchasing workflow to ensure MOE compliance.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and other tasks as assigned.

Position Summary

The buyer plays a pivotal role to ensure the timely acquisition of parts and materials needed to service customer aircraft by planning and forecasting part and material requirements and coordinating acquisition with internal and external suppliers and materials personnel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate suppliers to be selected and maintain the Approved Suppliers List (ASL).

• Purchase material within approved budget.

• Place all types of purchase orders and ensure that purchased products, tools or services conforms to specified purchase requirements.

• Ensure that parts are ordered from suppliers on the ASL and that part repairs and overhauls are only subcontracted to organizations on the ASL.

• Generate all purchase order requests through the Purchase Order system in SAP.

• Arrange in and outbound shipments with forwarders which include co-ordinate customs clearance.

• Monitor timely deliveries and inform the Material Manager if orders are delayed.

• Provide approved replacement parts and materials to support repair station maintenance activities.

• Management of tool and calibration.

• Review outstanding orders for any overdue and ensure orders are closed in SAP.

• Co-ordinate with production, planning, invoicing and finance department for any maintenance activities or closing of purchase orders.

• Co-ordinate and support all Aircraft On Ground requirements to ensure requirements are met.

• Constantly review purchasing workflow and assigned tasks to ensure following Company polices & Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) requirements.

• Working an ad-hoc duties to support operation.

• And any other tasks assigned by his/her immediate supervisor or management.

Qualification

As our ideal candidate:

• You have 5 years of experience in aviation or material/parts environment

• You have experience working in ERP system, eg. SAP, ORCL, etc.

• You have negotiation skill in procurement.

• You have working knowledge of purchasing and tendering process,

• You have working knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations, for material require for a maintenance aircraft.

• You have working knowledge of shipments terms, incoterms

• You have planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting

• You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with sales team, owners, outside counsel, and other departments

• You must hold Diploma and / or equivalent academic qualification in Supply chain or any engineering discipline.
