Job summary

VII CAPITAL PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Business Development professional to identify and develop opportunities in the Chinese-speaking markets, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.

You will build a robust pipeline, present IT consultancy services, and negotiate contracts while coordinating with internal teams to ensure solutions meet client needs. Travel is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 7+ years in business development, sales, account management or client relations, preferably in IT consultancy, tech services, software or SI.
• Strong English and Mandarin communication with clients and partners.
• Excellent Traditional Chinese reading and writing for proposals and communications.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Chinese-speaking market, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.
• Proactively reach out to potential clients through networking, referrals, industry events, business meetings and other relevant channels.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients to support the Company's business growth and sales targets.
• Understand clients' business requirements, operational challenges and technology needs, and recommend suitable IT consultancy services and solutions.
• Prepare business proposals, quotations, presentations and other relevant sales materials to introduce the Company's services.
• Follow up on business opportunities, negotiate with clients and work towards securing new projects and business contracts.
• Keep track of sales opportunities and ensure timely follow-up to support business development activities.
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing clients.
• Understand clients' business objectives, operational requirements and technology challenges, and recommend suitable IT solutions based on their needs.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and provide regular updates on project progress, business matters and related developments.
• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that proposed solutions are aligned with their expectations.
• Follow up on client feedback, address concerns and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues when necessary.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional IT services, consultancy solutions and project engagements to existing clients.
• Develop long-term business relationships and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
• Explore opportunities to grow the Company's business within the Chinese-speaking market.
• Keep up with market trends, industry developments, competitors and emerging technologies within the IT consultancy and technology services industry.
• Identify potential business opportunities involving IT consultancy, system implementation, digital transformation and other relevant technology solutions offered by the Company.
• Build relationships and explore collaborations with technology partners, IT vendors, system integrators and other relevant business partners.
• Understand clients' technology requirements and work with the relevant internal teams to identify suitable solutions.
• Share market insights, client feedback and business opportunities with management to support business planning and decision-making.
• When im raining Explore suitable business channels,networks and partnerships to promote the Company's IT consultancy services and reach potential clients.
• Work closely with the technical, project management and relevant internal teams to understand client requirements and develop suitable proposals.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions are aligned with clients' business needs and technical requirements.
• Follow up on project progress, timelines, outstanding matters and client requirements.
• Provide timely updates to clients and ensure that communication between clients and internal teams is clear and effective.
• Work with the relevant teams to address client feedback, resolve issues and manage expectations throughout the project.
• Identify potential follow-up projects and opportunities arising from existing client engagements.
• Prepare sales updates, business development reports, client information and other relevant documents for management review.
• Any others duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Candiate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field
• At least 7 years of experience in business development, sales, account management or client relationship management, preferably in an IT consultancy, technology services, software or system integration company.
• Good command of English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and business partners.
• Strong reading and writing proficiency in Traditional Chinese (繁體中文), with the ability to prepare business proposals, presentations, quotations and client communications in Traditional Chinese.
• Good understanding of the Chinese-speaking market, particularly Taiwan and Hong Kong.
• Familiarity with IT consultancy services, technology solutions, software systems or digital transformation projects would be an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to build and maintain good working relationships with clients and business partners.
• Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working independently to meet business targets.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and business opportunities at the same time.
• Willing to travel when required for client meetings, networking or business development activities
