Qualifications

  • Minimum 12–15 years’ relevant experience in electrical/electronics engineering within power/construction
  • 10–12 years of project management experience, with at least 8 years in Singapore
  • Contract administration experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong written communication skills for reports and correspondence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Monitor design, construction, and dismantling programmes for delivery efficiency

  • Conduct site visits and quality checks on power and construction contracts
  • Direct project team and contractors to foster collaboration
  • Hold weekly staff meetings and review performance
  • Negotiate, award, and administer contracts ensuring client protection
  • Schedule and document project meetings and actions
  • Provide regular reports on progress, costs, and quality metrics
  • Manage contract deliverables, changes, and variations
  • Support procurement with technical input on power and construction
  • Interface with clients and contractors across project stages
  • Develop strategies to enhance client value and project returns
  • Identify and resolve disputes promptly and fairly
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and ensure document control
  • Prepare monthly status reports including power consumption analysis
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager

Job Summary

Lead and execute comprehensive project management activities for power, process and construction industrial site work, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, risk mitigation, and effective stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of project activities by implementing a high-level project management framework and method statements to meet client timelines
  • Review master programmes and reports to ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones
  • Secure and manage resources, suppliers, and products required for project execution
  • Monitor design, construction, and dismantling programmes to identify and implement improvements for delivery efficiency
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, conflicts, and delivery issues using risk management tools to minimize project impact
  • Identify and report Health and Safety issues according to established procedures
  • Conduct regular site visits and quality checks to oversee the effective operation of power and construction contracts
  • Manage and direct the project team and contractors to foster a collaborative environment that supports project objectives
  • Hold weekly staff meetings, monitor working hours, and conduct performance reviews for project team members
  • Negotiate, award, and administer contracts ensuring client protection and compliance with contractual obligations
  • Schedule, document, and follow up on project meetings to ensure timely action on minutes and decisions
  • Provide regular, accurate reports on project progress, costs, and quality metrics to stakeholders
  • Review and manage all contract deliverables, work instructions, and variations to ensure accuracy and adherence to approval processes
  • Manage documentation and approval of changes and variations, ensuring contractors and consultants are paid per contract schedules
  • Support procurement processes by reviewing requirements and providing technical input related to power and construction
  • Serve as the primary interface with clients and contractors on all power and construction matters throughout project stages
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client value and project returns
  • Identify and resolve disputes promptly and fairly
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Monitor and implement document control processes aligned with quality management procedures
  • Prepare monthly status reports including detailed analysis of power consumption and utilization
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager
Required competencies and certifications
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering qualification with minimum 12-15 years relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Systems in the power and construction industry
  • Minimum 10-12 years of project management experience, including at least 8 years in Singapore
  • Contract administration experience
  • Proficient knowledge of power and construction systems, including electrical power distribution, SmartDBs, PLC/SCADA integration, and smart components
  • Experience working in construction and industrial design firms
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting reports, minutes, correspondence, procedures, and forms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Apply quality management and risk assessment principles effectively
  • Communicate professionally and confidently with diverse stakeholders at all levels
