Job summary

Sunline Technology (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Business Analyst to support delivery and implementation of banking solutions across Trade Finance, Deposits, Loans and Payments.

You will gather requirements, map processes, document specs and assist in testing and go-live activities. Candidates with experience in at least one banking module and familiarity with FAT, SIT, UAT, data migration and presales will have an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in business analysis, banking technology or related roles for different levels.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the listed banking modules (Trade Finance, Deposits, Loans, Payments).

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse banking clients' business requirements and translate into functional requirements.
• Map business processes for Trade Finance, Deposits, Loans and Payments.
• Recommend standard product configurations to minimise customisation.
• Prepare FSDs, specifications, process flows, gap analyses, user manuals and test cases.
• Support end-to-end delivery including data migration, FAT, SIT, UAT and go-live.
• Collaborate with Product, R&D, QA, PMO and Delivery teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to product enhancement and cross-project knowledge sharing.
• Assist presales with demonstrations, Q&A, POCs and RFP responses.

About the role

The Business Analyst will support the delivery and implementation of banking solutions across Trade Finance, Deposits, Loans and Payments. The role involves requirements gathering, solution mapping, documentation, testing support, and acting as a key liaison between clients and internal technical teams. Candidates with functional knowledge of at least one of these banking modules will have an added advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse banking clients' business requirements, identify pain points, and translate their needs into clear functional requirements.
• Conduct requirements workshops and map business processes for relevant banking modules, including Trade Finance, Deposits, Loans and Payments.
• Guide clients toward standard product capabilities and recommend appropriate configurations or enhancements to minimise unnecessary customisation.
• Prepare and maintain FSDs, requirement specifications, process flows, gap-analysis reports, user manuals, training materials and test cases.
• Conduct requirement walkthroughs, coordinate internal and external reviews, and obtain timely customer sign-off.
• Support the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including solution validation, data migration, FAT, SIT, UAT, go-live and post-implementation support.
• Work closely with Product, R&D, QA, PMO and Delivery teams to ensure the solution meets business and regulatory requirements.
• Consolidate common requirements across projects and contribute to product enhancement and continuous improvement.
• Support presales activities, including product demonstrations, customer Q&A, POCs, RFP responses and initial solution preparation.
• Maintain proper documentation, version control and knowledge sharing throughout the project lifecycle.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant working experience:
  • Junior: 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, functional consulting, banking technology or a related role.
  • Senior: 5-8 years of experience in business analysis, functional consulting, banking technology or a related role.
  • Fresh graduates with a relevant Banking or Finance degree may be considered for junior opportunities.
• Hands-on experience or strong functional knowledge in at least one of the following banking modules:
  • Trade Finance: Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections, Supply Chain Finance or related trade products.
  • Deposits: CASA, Term Deposits, account lifecycle, interest and fee processing.
  • Loans: Loan origination, credit assessment, disbursement, repayment schedules, collateral or delinquency management.
  • Payments: Domestic or cross-border payments, transfers, clearing, settlement, SWIFT or ISO 20022.
• Experience in banking-system implementation, core-banking replacement, digital banking or system-integration projects is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business-process analysis, and functional documentation, including preparing FSDs.
• Familiarity with software delivery and testing processes such as FAT, SIT and UAT.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and translate business needs into practical system requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Experience in data migration, presales, RFP responses, POC support or solution demonstrations is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English. Mandarin or other additional language capabilities are advantageous.
• Exposure to AI tools for documentation, analysis or productivity enhancement is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
