Job summary

Thakral One in Singapore is seeking a Business Analyst to support the regional rollout of a digital trade finance platform across APAC, ensuring business requirements, regulatory considerations, and operational needs are addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Financial Crime, Sales, and Trade Finance teams to prepare BRDs, FRDs, process maps, gap analyses, and other deliverables.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, or similar in Banking/Financial Services.
• Experience in Transaction Banking is required.
• Exposure to Trade Finance products and processes preferred.
• Experience in digital banking, client channels, or trade platform implementations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Understand processes and requirements with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Financial Crime, Sales, and Trade Finance teams.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process maps, gap analyses, and other deliverables.
• Conduct fit-gap assessments to evaluate requirements against platform capabilities.
• Support workshops with stakeholders and translate requirements into system solutions.
• Assist with UAT, develop test scenarios, coordinate execution, and track defects/enhancements.
• Develop user guides, operational procedures, training materials, and implementation documentation.

Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will support the regional rollout of a digital trade finance platform across selected Asia Pacific markets, ensuring business requirements, regulatory considerations, and operational needs are fully addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Business Analysis & Documentation

• Work closely with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Financial Crime, Sales, and local Trade Finance teams to understand processes and requirements.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process maps, gap analyses, and other project deliverables.
• Conduct fit‑gap assessments to evaluate business requirements against platform capabilities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Workshops

• Support workshops and discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
• Identify business needs, implementation considerations, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into system solutions.

Testing & Implementation Support

• Assist with preparation, execution, and documentation of UAT.
• Develop test scenarios and test cases, coordinate execution, and track defects/enhancements.
• Validate testing outcomes against business requirements.
• Assist in developing user guides, operational procedures, training materials, and implementation documentation.

Experience

• You have 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, or similar role in Banking/Financial Services.
• You have experience in Transaction Banking (required).
• You have exposure to Trade Finance products and processes (preferred).
• You have experience in digital banking, client channels, or trade platform implementations (desirable).

Technical Expertise

• You understand trade finance products such as Import/Export Letters of Credit, Guarantees, SBLCs, Documentary Collections, and Supply Chain/Invoice Financing.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• You have experience preparing business requirements, user stories, process flows, use cases, and test documentation.
