Job summary

Our client, an established international trading and commodities business, seeks a Bunker Trader to join their Singapore team and develop their bunker trading business.

The role covers physical bunker activities across assigned customers and markets, sourcing competitive prices and negotiating terms with suppliers and customers. You will manage end-to-end trading from enquiry to delivery while coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of bunker trading experience.
• Good understanding of the bunker market and shipping industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with pricing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
• Strong communication and numerical skills.
• Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute physical bunker trading activities across assigned customers and markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, operators, charterers, brokers and suppliers.
• Source competitive bunker prices and negotiate terms.
• Monitor prices, market movements and supply-demand developments.
• Identify opportunities to grow the network.
• Manage end-to-end trading from enquiry to delivery and settlement.
• Coordinate with operations, credit, finance and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor margins, credit exposure and counterparty risks.
• Maintain records of trades, pricing and activity.
• Stay informed on marine fuel and shipping market developments.
