Job summary

POWSTAR ENGINEERING is seeking an Electrical/Automation engineer to maintain and develop Building Management and Energy Management systems. You will design functional specifications, manage changes, and deploy PLC/SCADA projects from concept to programming.

The role requires Mitsubishi PLC programming experience, familiarity with SCADA systems, and the ability to interface with third-party systems. Occasional weekend/night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Automation/Building Technology).
• Experience interfacing design, implementation and testing between third-party systems using Modbus, BACNet or other protocols is advantageous.
• 2 years’ working experience in ACMV/ PLC related roles.
• Must have Mitsubishi PLC programming experience.
• Knowledge of SCADA (Niagara N4 or Mitsubishi MC Works) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional design specifications, software design specifications, control schematics/write-ups and other software/test documentation.
• Handle application programme change management, hardware deployment management and documentation.
• Implant PLC/SCADA projects from concept to design and programming.
• Site testing and commissioning with clients.
• Interface design, implementation and testing between various third-party systems.
• Meet with clients, prepare reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot independently and implement improvement works for clients.
• Occasionally work weekends or night shifts when required.
