Job summary

MKS Controls & Automation Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Automation Engineer to lead PLC/SCADA development and maintenance for plant expansion projects. You will install equipment, program Life Safety PLC configurations, diagnose issues, and deliver detailed reports on site. A hands-on, shifts-ready professional with a diploma in Electrical/Electronic engineering is required.

The role involves on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and supporting operations during and after office hours.

Qualifications

5+ years in PLC and SCADA developments and maintenance.
Experience with automation and control engineering.
Strong knowledge of Siemens S7-400 CPU and redundant configurations.
Experience with Wonderware ArchestrA SCADA.
Proficiency in Profibus communication and troubleshooting.
Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or higher.
Knowledge of MS Office.
Basic knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
Hands-on attitude and strong personality.
Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime.
On-call support during and after office hours.

Responsibilities

Involve in the installation of new Equipment's during plant expansion.
Carry out Equipment improvements projects and modifications.
Manage Projects including Testing and commissioning, on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.
PLC Programming of Life Safety Systems configurations.
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
Produce timely and detailed reports.
Installing small additions and changes to existing systems.
Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols.
