Job summary

SHENGYI DEVELOPMENT SG PTE. LTD. is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to assist the project manager with on-site and off-site meetings, oversee technical submissions, and coordinate with sub-contractors.

You will help develop procedures, perform MTO/LOM, and monitor KPI to ensure project progress. The role requires a Diploma/ Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with at least 3 years of Singapore project experience, knowledge of drawings, sequencing, and ISO 9001 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil/structural engineering with relevant Singapore project exposure.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on Singapore projects.
• Familiarity with construction sequencing and method statements.
• Able to read construction/shop drawings and understand detailing.
• Understanding ISO 9001 clauses and ability to audit/implement procedures is a plus.
• Ability to monitor project KPI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with on-site and off-site meetings on technical issues.
• Submit architectural samples, shop drawings, and related documents to consultants/authorities.
• Coordinate and monitor site progress including periodic site inspections and meetings.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors, RE, and RTO.
• Develop procedures, detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Plan monthly work schedules and set achievable productivity targets.
• Conduct Material Take Off (MTO) and manage List of Materials (LOM).
• Verify technical specifications for adequacy and disseminate to supervisors.
• Identify and record product quality problems and implement solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist the project manager with on and off-site meetings pertaining to technical issues

Responsible for submission of Architectural samples, shop drawings, and other related documents to the consultants or authorities

Coordinate and monitor work progress at the site including periodical site inspection and attend meetings during the course of the project

Able to coordinate well with sub-contractors, RE, and RTO

Development of Procedures, detailed Engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications

Plan monthly work schedules and set productivity to be achieved

Conduct Material Take Off (MTO) and management of List of Materials (LOM) to monitor the progress of projects

Verify technical specifications for adequacy

Disseminate technical specifications to the supervisor

Identify and record any product quality problems and implement solutions

Job Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or its equivalent

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Singapore Projects

Familiar with construction sequence and Method Statement or different trade

Able to read construction/shop drawings and understand detailing

Understand ISO 9001 clauses and being able to implement / audit procedures is an added advantage

Must be able to monitor project KPI requirements
