Job summary

Aon is seeking a Broker, Retrocession to support key retrocession clients across Asia, with emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region and Korea. This role involves coordinating with regional and global teams to deliver market insights and strategy for inbound business.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in treaty reinsurance, strong client-management skills, and solid proficiency with MS Office. Travel within the Asia region will be required as part of client engagements.

Responsibilities

What the day will look like

Support key retrocession clients:

• Assist regional retro team and relevant local team to provide best-in-class services to key retrocession clients, especially focused on Asia regions and South Korea
• Work with global teams to provide leading market insights to local teams and clients
• Work with regional and global teams to coordinate effective inwards business strategies for key retrocession clients across the regions

Assist technical analytic support within teams:

• Work with regional retro team across Asia Pacific to build business intelligence database

Support new business opportunities:

• Assist retrocession growth initiatives to effectively sell Aon's value proposition toward target prospects across Asia regions

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Ideally 1–3 years of experience in treaty reinsurance related work at an insurance company, reinsurance company, reinsurance intermediaryis a strong plus but not strictly required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, client management and communication capabilities and the ability to interface with various business units
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel within the Asia region to facilitate client presentations, seminars and conferences as required.
• High self-motivation and ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to work in a collaborative and matrixed environment
