Job summary

Aon is seeking a Broker, Retrocession to support regional retrocession clients across Asia, with emphasis on Asia regions and South Korea. The role involves collaborating with regional and global teams to deliver top-tier services and grow the business.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in treaty reinsurance, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a matrix environment. Travel within Asia may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in treaty reinsurance work; experience at insurer/reinsurer/intermediary is a plus but not required.

What the day will look like

Support key retrocession clients:

• Assist regional retro team and relevant local team to provide best-in-class services to key retrocession clients, especially focused on Asia regions and South Korea
• Work with global teams to provide leading market insights to local teams and clients
• Work with regional and global teams to coordinate effective inwards business strategies for key retrocession clients across the regions

Assist technical analytic support within teams:

• Work with regional retro team across Asia Pacific to build business intelligence database

Support new business opportunities:

• Assist retrocession growth initiatives to effectively sell Aon's value proposition toward target prospects across Asia regions

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Ideally 1–3 years of experience in treaty reinsurance related work at an insurance company, reinsurance company, reinsurance intermediaryis a strong plus but not strictly required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, client management and communication capabilities and the ability to interface with various business units
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel within the Asia region to facilitate client presentations, seminars and conferences as required.
• High self-motivation and ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to work in a collaborative and matrixed environment
