Job summary

HTX is Singapore's science and technology agency for homeland security, seeking a Blast Engineer with strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel and composite structures, plus broad FEM calculations. You will review building submissions under IPA's Security-By-Design framework and provide in-house technical consultancy on blast effects and progressive collapse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master/PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge in reinforcing concrete, structural steel and composites.
• Broad knowledge in FEM calculations.
• Registered professional engineer or aiming towards accreditation preferred.
• 1 year of blast engineering experience is ideal; fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions for security-design of buildings under IPA SBD framework.
• Provide in-house technical consultancy on blast effects and progressive collapse.
• Collaborate with teams to develop and implement blast-resistant designs.
