Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a proactive Blast Engineer to join our Protective Technology and Civil & Structural Engineering team in Singapore. You will design, analyze and plan for the protection of buildings and infrastructure from explosions and dynamic effects, collaborating with clients, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work from concept to completion, coordinating tender specifications, reports, and site progress to meet time, cost and quality goals while

Qualifications

At least a good degree in Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla and ETABS for structural analysis and detailing.
Knowledge of design/analysis under dynamic loading (blast) is advantageous.
Good communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Design, analysis and plan for structural engineering works.
Design, analysis and plan for protection of buildings and infrastructure from explosion and dynamic effects.
Design, analysis and plan for security system engineering works.
Liaise with consultants, contractors and authorities from inception to completion.
Submit plans and reports to authorities and clients in a timely manner.
Manage projects to meet time, cost and quality objectives.
Prepare tender specifications and drawings, evaluate submissions, and make recommendations.
Coordinate and monitor site progress including inspections and meetings during construction.
