Bioprocess Scientist: Purification & Development

Job summary

BioChromatographix, a startup supported by SGInnovate, seeks a Scientist with hands-on laboratory experience in development and manufacturing at our Singapore laboratory, reporting to the Director of Technical Development and Manufacturing.

You will execute experiments to develop chromatography media for purification of biotherapeutics, perform assays, maintain equipment, compile reports, and collaborate with QA/QC and marketing to support client applications.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years experience in cell culture, protein purification and bioassay testing.
• Experience in qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry; SDS-PAGE and Western Blot.
• Prepare and analyze data using statistical software, e.g. Excel, GraphPad Prism.
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent organisational skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments and prepare protocols.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate and characterize chromatography media.
• Perform analysis of samples.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and manage inventory.
• Prepare technical reports, document experimental results and create presentations.
• Establish and execute manufacturing operations.
• Work with external experts to optimize manufacturing workflows and process parameters.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions.
• Collaborate with marketing team and participate in client meetings.
• Conduct application studies, including drafting protocols and reports.
• Write application notes and white papers.
