Job summary

Illumina Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a driven software engineer or bioinformatics engineer to join the DRAGEN Team. You will help build automated test infrastructure and bioinformatics tools to analyze large genomic datasets, and contribute to CI/CD and database/web site improvements used for verification.

The role involves collaboration with bioinformatics scientists, cross-functional teams, and adherence to SDLC procedures, with emphasis on testing data analysis software and implementing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of applicable experience is preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and programming.
• Experience with Python, Java, C#, or C++ is required.
• Experience in Linux environments and automated verification frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing efforts for data analysis software in cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement automated verification framework and tests.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics scientists on data analysis and tool development.
• Participate in code and design reviews and ensure SDLC procedures are followed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements with peers.
• Support CI/CD setup for verification workflows.
