Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of BIM experience, with coordination/management exposure
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building, Construction, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of BIM software, standards, and workflows
• Experience in ACMV, mechanical, and building electrical coordination advantageous
• Ability to lead a BIM team with minimal supervision

About the role

The BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation, coordination, and delivery of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across construction projects. The role involves establishing BIM standards and workflows, managing BIM deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and ensuring that BIM processes are aligned with project requirements, specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The BIM Manager works closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, consultants, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective BIM coordination and integration throughout the project lifecycle. The role also provides technical guidance and leadership to the BIM team, ensuring that models, drawings, and documentation are accurate, coordinated, and delivered in accordance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, procedures, workflows, and guidelines across projects

• Manage and coordinate BIM models across multiple disciplines, including ACMV, mechanical, and building electrical systems

• Review and monitor BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications

• Oversee clash detection and coordination processes and ensure identified issues are properly tracked and resolved

• Lead, supervise, and provide technical guidance to BIM Modelers and other BIM team members

• Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients to establish BIM requirements and deliverables

• Oversee the preparation and updating of BIM models, shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built documentation

• Manage and monitor the effective use of BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM platforms

• Establish BIM quality control procedures and conduct regular reviews of models and deliverables

• Provide BIM support to project teams during design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover stages

About you

• Minimum 5 years of relevant BIM experience, with experience in a BIM coordination or management role preferred

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building, Construction, or equivalent

• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software

• Strong knowledge of BIM processes, standards, procedures, and construction workflows

• Experience in BIM coordination, clash detection, model review, and multidisciplinary coordination

• Experience in ACMV, mechanical services, building electrical systems, or M&E construction would be advantageous

• Good understanding of construction processes, engineering drawings, and project management

• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively

• Able to work independently and lead a BIM team with minimal supervision
